I have always told people that Benny Hinn is a false prophet who has never performed any miracle and many have doubted me. However, with what we see about this man, God is certainly not on his site.

If Benny Hinn is really someone who can do everything in the name of Jesus Christ, then i guess it would be easy for him to prevent the divorce. Could did be that the man of God has had some extra marital affair? If no, then why did Suzanne Hinn decide to divorce him?

Though Suzanne Hinn, who is now no longer a Hinn did not tell us why she has divorced this man who has for long lied in the name of the lord, the reasons could range from adultery, mistreatment, finance, failure by Benny Hinn to mange his home and so on.

We all know that Benny Hinn has in the past acted as a false prophet, the kind Jesus Christ warned us about, this can be evidenced by the many false prophecies he has told in the past which included the death of Fidel Castrol in 1990’s which never happened, the destruction of all gay before 2000 and America getting a female president also before 2000. Such men are very dangerous to truth seekers because they continue to lead people toward the path of death.

I am totally convinced that no prophet can live such extravagant life like that of Benny Hinn, as many people are dying of poverty; the man is stuck with his riches, jet, and exclusive homes. The separation of Hinn and Suzanne is something which shows us that Hinn has an ugly side which Suzanne has seen.

I wonder how Benny Hinn could come up to say that he was surprised by the news about the divorce as he knew nothing.

Benny Hinn should stop lying to the world again, what happened is some which he knew was coming, nobody can believe it that Suzanne just woke up one day and wished for a divorce. Stop fooling people Benny Hinn and please also stop lying to us that you perfume miracles.

Evil of the "holy men" part 2

This chapter is a contunuation

1. On 5th January 2008, LTV aired the sermon of pastor Robert Kayanja entitled “He loads you with benefit” He told the followers how 2008 was going to be a year of being loaded and I bet anyone who would have mentioned this verse would have been expelled.

Mathew 10:16 “you will be betrayed, flogged …and dragged into courts”

If you preach such words in a Pentecostal church, you will be surprised to see empty seats in your church in a few months. Followers will cross over to Mr. Creflo Dollar’s church where prosperity is preached or in a church where healing is a major word.

2 Timothy 3:12 “Every one who wants to live a godly life in Christ will be persecuted” This verse is a taboo in Pentecostal churches “how can you talk about persecutions when there is happiness and being loaded” they will ask.

I Timothy 6:6-7 “Well, religion does make a person very rich, (delete the coma here) if he is satisfied with what he has. Then I will say to them, I never knew you. That is around 200,000 in shillings, though the people are relatively poor, many of the Pentecostals looked for the money from all corners to see their beloved pastors. We now have pastors whom can not meet without having to pay some fee. This trend is growing rapidly and I am sacred we may soon see the poor being locked out of churches.

Today, we are having a scenario where churches organize sessions for different kinds of people depending on their financial; it is becoming popular for churches to organise corporate services where no poor worshippers are expected to attend. It is the pursuit of communion with, identity with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, or insight.

For the years I spent in Pentecostalism, I could not see that I was having the same mystic beliefs; in fact, I referred to every thing happening around me as “evidence of the Holy Spirit”. I am regretting all the years I spent in the movement and I really hope many Pentecostals will forsake the beliefs of mysticism

Mysticism has a human centered nature to seek God and it is never biblical and can in many ways lead to spiritism and demon possession. The force of mysticism is so strong and it can entirely change the life of a person in its practice. This has been confused to be the Holy Spirit by many Pentecostals due to the presence of a very high emotional intensity.

One of the greatest students of mysticism, Arthur Johnson, a professor at West Texas State University, comment on the subject as below;

“Furthermore, it is from this emotional quality that another characteristic results, namely, its 'self-authenticating' nature. The mystic rarely questions the goodness and value of his experience. Consequently, if he describes it as giving him information, he rarely questions the truth of his newly gained "knowledge". It is this claim that mystical experiences are "ways of knowing" truth that is vital to understanding many religious movements we see today.1
It is by no surprise that Frank B. Robinson a notorious cult leader of the “Psychiana Movement” in 1928 (Moscow, Idaho) had the same teachings just like Pentecostals, Gnostics and Mystics. He believed in: Unity with God through universal consciousness, the gospel of prosperity and personal revelations, the voice of God with no respect to the Scriptures, and the spirit of man being the final voice on matters of divinity.

In fact, Robin son recorded many of his experiences which are very similar to the experiences of Pentecostals and Gnostics, “No longer, he said later, did he feel a limiting consciousness; he felt only a single specific sense of complete unity with God. In that flashing moment of insight, he realised as never before that he was the inner counterpart of a divine creative power. From then on he was convinced that he was the personalised activity of cosmic force . . . after that afternoon he was a changed man2.
There is no where in the bible where we read that we can be gods or divine or that we should be controlled by the inner man. All the efforts of the Pentecostals, Gnostics, Mystics, and Satanists to support that claim only lead to a misrepresentation of the Holy Scriptures. The bible strongly warns all those who add or subtract any letters from it and all those who add such teachings will test the wrath of God.

I always feel pity for many Pentecostals who think that religion and worship are a matter of feelings, emotions and ecstasy. Many think that since they feel good, or the presence of the spirit, then they must be right. Yes it’s true the spirit may be present but the Holy Spirit may not have anything to do with such a feeling.
This is the source for the terms "word-faith" or "positive confession." That which the believer confesses with his mouth will be true in reality. Various forms of this false idea have spread throughout many parts of the Pentecostal-Charismatic movement today but believe me, it is too sweet to believe and many would rather misquote the scripture just to believe that demonic teaching.

I will conclude with the inspired words of Paul “Though they have a lot of zeal for their religion, they do so in ignorance and are still lost…” Rom 10:2

References
John MacArthur, Jr., Our Sufficiency in Christ, Word Publishing, 1991
Larsen and Egon, Strange Sects and Curious Cults: A Study of Their Origin and Influence, New York: Hart, 1972

How Pentecostalism and Gnosticisms are religions of feelings

When a high value is placed on personal experiences or revelations, Scriptures are then unscrupulously twisted and misquoted. We find those who believe the feelings of a congregation must be hyped up in order to "feel" the Presence of the Lord or else the church is thought to be "dead"… "To know God's Presence you must feel Him." In actuality this is pure Gnosticism.
An emotional experience, especially a repetitive one during a worship service, if not kept in proper perspective or check, can lead to an altered state of consciousness in which the capacity for rational reasoning is greatly reduced. At this point the congregation is open to delusion and can be easily led astray. In many charismatic groups an altered state of mind is explained as "getting into the Spirit" or as a manifestation of the presence of God. Uncontrolled spiritual feelings transcend sound scriptural rationalism and give rise to the doctrine of "the Presence of God" built on an experience

How Pentecostals lower the Bible as Gnostics do

One of the major dangers of the Gnostic teachings is that it lowers the authority of the Bible and exalts the authority of the person. A person really thinks he can receive the revelation of knowledge from God which can even contradict the Bible. The Bible is falsely spiritualized and read out of context in the disguise of interpreting it spiritually.

The Gnostics and many Pentecostals believe that they are spiritual elite possessing "hidden knowledge" of the divine realm which place their personal revelations, spiritual experiences, and private interpretation of Scripture above the ordinary revelation of God’s Word.

Pentecostals have been made to believe (though some may never have realized it), that Scriptures are insufficient to be a total effective authority. Therefore, they feel the Scriptures should be supplemented and substituted by some internal authority such as feeling, experience, conscience, intuition, inner voice, etc. The ever increasing problem with this form of authority is that it is being rated above the Scriptures in the name of the Holy Spirit. Christians are encouraged to give greater heed to their self-conscious internal authority over their faith in the voice of the Word.1

References

Travers and Jewel van der Merwe, Strange Fire: The rise of Gnosticism in church

Mysteries of the Pentecostal power religion

Perhaps, one of the greatest influence of Gnosticism on Pentecostalism is the notion of power religion, There is a misguided belief in the authority of the believer where some think they have a lot of authority to the extent that they can bind Satan by them selves; they lift them selves up to the point of ordering God. Which Satanism can be more than that?

Let us have a few quotations from Kenyon’s book and you will discover that the modern day Pentecostals received there teaching about power from this man and not from God.

“We know that God himself put Satan and all his ability beneath our feet, and we are looked upon by the Farther and Satan, as masters of the dominion of darkness”1

However, the Bible comments about this in a totally different manner: “For He must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet” I Corinthians 15:25. The Bible makes it clear that dominion and authority are for Jesus and the believer access them through Jesus, but Kenyon and many Pentecostals believe that they have the authority and dominion over Satan.

Kenyon continues to write in his book that
“We are taking Jesus’ place”2
“That authority and that ability belong to the believer…the recreated man is supernatural…he is a superman”

The major difference between the words of Kenyon and the Pentecostal visa vie the Bible is that Kenyon and the Pentecostals place authority not in the hands of Jesus but in the hands of the believer, Some Pentecostals may not have realized this but many think they have a lot of power in them. The real issue is that a believer has access to authority through Jesus but not authority in themselves as many think. You should not forget that these cultic teachings crept into Pentecostalism form Kenyon through Kenneth Hagin

References
. They were lied to by these Satanists that religion is about power and authority. Many believe that they have the power to bind Satan or to send him into fire; it is only God who can do this. Instead of saying ‘God, send Satan away’ they rather say ‘I send Satan away’. Even though they sometimes use the name of Jesus, they only do it after they have shown that the power belongs to them.

The statement of Iraneus mentioned earlier when he was fighting Gnostism still apply to most Pentecostals today “They consider themselves “mature” (in spirit) so that no one can be compared to them in the greatness of there knowledge, not even if you mention Peter, Paul or any other Apostle”

Pentecostals who use the words “confession is possession” may never know that they are out of the Bible; they are deceived into believing that “Confession” can refer to an inherent power in words. However, in the Bible, confession only means profession of belief in a truth or the admission of guilty. Gnostics fooled Pentecostals into this statement and many of them think they can really create by the power of words.

Many Pentecostal pastors today including Hagee, preach that sickness is a sin, others say that sickness is not real. Remember, this same statement is used widely by the church of Satan which claims that God fools Christians to think that they are sick so as to blame Satan.

Gnostics led the Pentecostals to believe that salvation is a faith movement instead of a grace movement. They have turned their belief from faith in God to faith in faith. In his book “ Faith in Faith” Hagin calls on Pentecostals to have faith in their faith. . Satan has cleverly installed this teaching that many of Pentecostals really think that they are too spiritual thinking they can use their faith to do anything. Under normal circumstances, it is God only who can do anything through us and not people through their faith.

Through these beliefs, Pentecostals were deceived that they can declare even when God has not declared. It is now common to find a young Pentecostals declaring every good thing on earth to them selves. In their prayers they assume the powers to them selves, they say “I declare that the blood of Jesus covers this place” though the correct prayer would “I pray that you declare that the blood of Jesus covers this place”. The difference between the two is that, in the former it is the Pentecostal who declare but in the latter, it is God who declares.
In an article "How God Taught Me about Prosperity," Hagin claims that Jesus Christ taught him not to think that it is wrong to have riches. Allegedly Christ told him not to "pray about money anymore; that is, the way you've been praying. CLAIM WHATEVER YOU NEED." Christ allegedly further taught Hagin that he has personal angels who can be commanded to do his bidding. Hagin says Christ told him in 1963 that the angels were waiting for his command to provide his material desires. "They are waiting on you to give them the order, just as the waitress cannot do anything for you until you give her the order" 8
The belief that consciousness sets the standards of the believer is also another Gnostic belief which crept into Pentecostalism. Many Pentecostal pastors also believe that we are “gods”, this desire to attain divinity is becoming common among Pentecostals but few know about the consequences. This is also an old Mormon belief.

In fact many eastern religion teach that when we seek God, we become close to him, then we become like him, then part of him and finally we become “gods”. The Pentecostal teaching of men becoming gods is never different from them.

Reference
Hagin, I Believe in Visions, p. 126.

How Gnosticism entered Pentecostalism

Judith Matta, an expert in Gnostic origins and the author of “The Christian response to Gnosticisms Charismatic Heresies” traced the entry of Gnosticisms into Pentecostalism as below:

In 1875, Mary Baker published science and health, thus launching the Christian Science sect. Baker had adopted many of the early Gnostic concepts in her writings which included the denial of the reality of illness (many Pentecostals today believe that sickness is a sin and others say it is not real)

One of the early converts to Christian Science, and a member of the Mother church (of Christian Science) from 1903 until his death was Dr C.W Emerson. He founded a college in Boston called, Emerson school of Oratory. One of his students E.W Kenyon picked up some of the Gnostic concepts and incorporated them into his own writings later on.

The words “Word of faith” and Revelation knowledge” are found through out Kenyon’s books, Positive confession and rhetoric are also common, he also expound certain aspects of the authority of a believer.

Kenyon claimed that since God is spiritual, it is impossible to understand God or spiritual truth without special revelation. He fell in the Gnostic trap of denying reason claiming that the “revelation of knowledge” by pass our senses and speaks directly to our spirit. People who fall in this cultic trick (like the Pentecostals) become the standard of there own truth with that so called “special revelation” or “knowledge”

Kenyon met his death in 1948, but a young Pentecostal man who was hungry for the super natural and self exaltation - Kenneth Hagin, carried on his teachings.

Hagin praises Kenyon to the skies in one of his books, “The Name Jesus” and confess his deep indebt ness to him. Hagin later passed on these teachings to Kenneth Copeland through Charles Capps, Jerry Savelle and others.7

You should remember that every thing mentioned about Gnostics so far, is also in Pentecostalism, worse still, none of them is biblical. It was Satan’s master plan to introduce these ideas in order to take many to hell.

Hagin in the introduction to one of older editions of his “Art of intercession”, he describes a visit from Christ to him. He said that Jesus Christ came into Hagin’s room, sat down and talked for about an hour and a half. During this visit, the supposed Jesus Christ gave him a startling “revelation” that ‘ All the theologians in the world who taught that God was in absolute control of all things were wrong’ Hagin claims, ‘God is not ruling in this world… and God can not do anything unless some body down here asks him’.

Satan wants to be in control of the whole world, he there fore tries to downplay the role of God, Satan was simply telling Hagin that God does not control the world, and thus it is him (Satan) in control. The being which visited Hagin also forgot that God had already given us verses in the Bible which contradicts the teaching it was handing down to Pentecostals; for example

“What the lord pleases, He does in heaven and on earth” psalms 135:6
“That the living may know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men…” Daniel 4:7

When the being visited Hagin the seventh time, it told him not to pray for his needs but to command the angles to get them. The being again revealed its true colours, (that it is satanic) by going against the words of Christ who told us to pray for our daily bread. The inner man is perceived as the source of direction and “knowledge of God” “Their reference point is not the Scriptures although sometimes they misapply Scripture in their support. Their reference is an internalised experience, based on the idea that "God" dwells in every man and knowing this is the start of spiritual life and maturity to godhood. On the authority of this concept they build their spiritual lives”1

In the book Strange Fire, while addressing the issue of Gnosticism, Travers and Jewel referred to experiences in Christian circles as religious speculation “ Christians are told to look inward to find God. The danger in this pagan belief makes Christians open to input from the supernatural realm beyond God's written Word. Claiming to know God in any way other than through the Gospel of Jesus Christ is religious speculation. History proves it leads to doctrines of devils. God in His wisdom gave man the Bible.”5

Many Pentecostals like the Gnostics believe that they can seek God through feelings, and there so called “inner man”. This is a desire is for self exaltation rather exaltation of the Almighty. There is a great deal of faith in faith instead of faith in God; A person is led into a demonic thinking that they have the ability in them to confess and make things happen. In reality, it is only God who can make things happen and man can only attain access to the power of God.

Pentecostals have made grave mistakes while claiming that they are being guided by the ‘inner man’. They go about declaring, "God told me this, God told me that". Some even refuse to take medicine while claiming that God through the ‘inner man’ refused them to. They give up on the clear teachings of the bible while following there ‘inner man’. The teaching of the inner man paves way for the seducing and the lying spirits of the devil since the devil will have a direct access of controlling a person with the victim care ling less about the word of God in the name of following the ‘inner man’

Author Pen-Lewis also warned about the danger of turning in ward to ones self (inner man) for guidance in this way;

. . . Turning inwards to a subjective location of God as indwelling, speaking, communing and guiding, in a materialistic or conscious sense, is open to gravest danger; for upon this thought and belief, sedulously cultivated by the powers of darkness, the most serious deceptions of deceiving spirits have taken place 2.

References
1. The Gnostics propelled it and Hagin sold it to the Pentecostals who gladly bought it.

This cultic belief has had a major influence on Pentecostalism; many words used by Pentecostals are not biblical but Gnostic. Pentecostals where greatly blinded by Gnostics about the concepts of power and authority. It is this cult which is the origin of one of the greatest movements and teachings of Pentecostalism- The word faith movement.

Gnosticisms is a pagan cult which greatly rivaled Christianity during the first three centuries. Many Christian fathers such as Iraneus eventually refuted and destroyed it. It was however resurrected in Pentecostalism by Kenneth Hagin.

It is a belief in adherent powers in a person through ‘special knowledge’ which can be used to determine one’s destiny. This is why many Pentecostals think that they have a lot of power in them though many only confuse there feelings with the Holy Spirit. They exalt themselves above others. Little do they know that apart from Christ, there is no power inherent in any one.

Most Gnostic sects professed Christianity but their beliefs sharply diverged from those of Christianity in the early Church. To its adherents, Gnosticism promised a secret knowledge of the divine realm. Sparks or seeds of the Divine Being fell from this transcendent realm into the material universe, which is wholly evil, and were imprisoned in human bodies. Re-awakened by knowledge, the divine element in humanity can return to its proper home in the transcendental spiritual realm.1

This cult holds a form of dualism, Gnosticism also taught the existence of two Gods and it strives to attain divinity and become a kind of “god”. This could be done through the releasing of the spirit to attain special “knowledge” or “revelation” by which one could control his spiritual destiny. In Pentecostalism, they refer to a ‘inner man” who controls there spiritual affairs and whom there great pastors call ‘a god”

The early father Iraneus who combated gnosticism wrote in his book, “Against heresies” about the cult in this way.

“They consider themselves “mature” (in spirit) so that no one can be compared to them in the greatness of there knowledge, not even if you mention Peter, Paul or any other Apostle”

Many Gnostics and Pentecostals have constantly misrepresented the state of man by equating him to God. They believe that when you accept Christ, you are slowly elevated to the state of God. Benny Hinn for example, asserts that we even take the office of Jesus

Benny Hinn says, "When you born again, Your spirit, ladies and gentlemen, is God-like,- he's God-like in every way ... Say it again, "Within me is a God-man". Now let's say even better than, that, let's say, "I am a God-man". When you say I am a God-man, you're not talking about your flesh or your soul; you're talking about your spirit-man." What is it to have the name of Jesus? It means to have His Office!... Now, you ready for some real revelation knowledge? Okay, now watch this. He laid aside His divine form. Now these are the seven steps from the glory to the cross. He laid aside His divine form! Why? so one day I would be clothed on with the divine form2

In a 1991 program entitled "Manifested Sons of God," Morris Cerullo flattered his audience with the following blasphemy,
"You represent all that God is and all that God has...Jesus was the visible expression of God. Jesus was the Son of the Living God. Now, who are you? Sons of God…everyone say it. What is working inside of us is the manifestation. When you look at me, you are looking at Jesus…To see Jesus was to see God. To see me is to see Jesus. Jesus knew who He was. Don’t you think it is about time we know who we are?"3

There is little devilish teaching as that above, it is Satan who wants to take the place and office of Jesus Christ. So he makes some people think that they can also challenge the office and place of the almighty God. Man will never be God; he will always be a creature who depends on God no matter the status or belief. It is just too bad that these Gnostic teachings have crept into Christianity with many ready to gladly receive them since many will feel great if there Pastor tells them that they are gods.

Such teaching exalts man at the expense of God, it creates spiritual pride in the mind of a believer which looks good to the particular believer but creating a cultic influence. Believers in such teaching are bewitched with the prospect of unleashing their potential as ‘Godmen’. They begin calling other people who do not subscribe to their teachings as people from dead churches and non spiritual.

Travers and Jewel reported “As in the eastern religions, the perception of God is sought subjectively rather than in God Himself and the written Word. There is a desire to know God through feelings, mystic thoughts, voices, visions and dreams. A "sense" of the "presence of God" is believed on as long as spiritual experiences last. When these experiences subside or cease, spiritual fervour wears down to rise again when a spurt of vain and endless fantasy starts a new "spiritual" cycle. By the spiritualising of the Scriptures they eloquently express fantastic ideas to reveal how deep they "feel" and "think" about God. It is appropriate to say that spiritual experiences are not necessarily wrong. However, if they conflict with the Holy Scriptures, draw a believer away from the Word of God or substitute the Word of God, as do the Gnostic experiences, they are devilish”

Who gains from the prosperity gospel

In a sermon, "Provision for the Vision," T.D. Jakes bragged about his stable of luxury cars. His materialism resembles that of other prosperity preachers like Fred Price, who fly from coast to coast in his Lear jet,. Hillard, who wears full-length fur coats, an expensive diamond ring, and flies in his private helicopter to avoid traffic while traveling to the churches he pastors in north and southwest Houston. Prosperity preachers flaunt tremendous wealth before their congregants as validation of their faith.

Pastor Joel Osteen owns the largest Pentecostal Church in the U.S.A, with some 30,000 people attending Lake Wood Community Church in Houston. Osteen (the smiling preacher) has a reason to smile. He has taken the congregation started by his father and turned it into the largest Church in the US. And he has (as he is quick to tell us) an elegant home, well adjust kids and an adoring ministry9

Osteen like other Pentecostal pastors have no problems with money, they can get as much as they want from their followers even though it means to threaten them death.

Many of these pastors own personal jets, have fenced houses, drive the latest cars and have billions on their accounts. One Pastor, (Kiwewesi) made a wedding which cost his followers 362 million Uganda shillings. I am sure no apostle would be so extravagant to that extent considering that many street children and orphans go hungry for days. Pastor Hinn turned his Mercedes for a Jaguar and moved from the exclusive Heathrow development to the even more exclusive Alaqua in a $685,000 home. His suits are tailored, his shoes are Italian leather, and his wrists and finger glitter with gold and diamonds. He wears his diamond Rolex, diamond rings, gold bracelet and custom suits for all to see. He forced his followers to donate to him money (which God will return many times fold) in order to buy a new jet worth $36 millions which he later bought.

Pastor Jackson Senyonga from the poor country of Uganda owns a Television Station and a number of radio stations, an NGO, plus a multi hundred seater church which all combined generate millions of shillings in a single day, Do not be deceived, though these income generating activities are as a result of peoples offering and tithe, the proceeds are not for the members but for a few.

Pastor Chis Oyakhilome’s weekly services are said to draw an average of 30,000 faithful, more than some European soccer teams draw for their games. At every crusade, seats are booked in advance. He owns hundreds of churches in many countries which generate great revenue. He also owns the Love world television ministry, Global distributors network, Love world cyber ministry, and the entire Christ embassy Missions plus a publishing house. It is also important to note that he is one of the richest African Pastors.

Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder of Living Faith Ministries a.k.a. Winners' Chapel based in Nigeria with a capacity of 50,000 worshippers and features a 5,000-strong choir. In Lagos, members are given free bus rides to the church. \he has more than 1500 branches world wide. He owns prestigious primary schools, secondary schools, and a university with three different colleges which charge high fees. He also owns a powerful publishing house, Gilead medical centers, a garage of state-of-the-art cars, has a private jet and make fortunes through the sale of gift certificates

If I present the wealth of Reverend (Dr.) Enoch Adejare Adeboye, space for this book will be too big. The man has a vast empire from Africa to other contents with more 200 parishes in the USA. His riches are so vast that we will not able to present them in this book, other wise we will be limited by resources.

Edir Macedo is the founder of Brazilian based Universal Church of the Kingdom Church, only in Brazil alone the church has more than 2000 branches with each branch collecting millions dollars per month. However that is only Brazil, the church has braches in more than 45 other countries. Even in my country of Uganda, this church is moving to close to half a dozen branches. Edir Macedo church has its own bank (Banco Credito Metropolitano), 14 Television stations, 40 radio stations, daily and weekly newspapers; a bank and shares in an offshore Cayman Islands company called Investholding Ltd.; a travel company; a construction firm to build and adapt churches and even a furniture company to supply pews. Wow!

There is little time to talk about other Pentecostal pastors who have become exceedingly rich while their followers become poorer, Men like Paul Crouch, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Howard Brown, Rehrnd Bonker, Rod Parsley, Robert Kayanja, Imelda Namutebi, Benson Idahosa, Joseph Serwadda, and a host of many others who no longer have any problems with money what so ever. They have really collected amazing wealth not for church but for them selves. This is so because though those pastors can afford staying in luxurious hotels, many of there followers battle so hard to meet their rent.

There is no doubt at all that those who gain from the wealth and health gospel are the pastors while many of their followers live in poverty. Pentecostal prosperity preachers continue to live like CEOs of cooperate companies while encouraging their members to confess and possess the same financial prosperity.
In real life, many Pentecostals are living on promises; they have big money problems but convinced by their pastors that they are rich and they have been made to believe that sowing the seed is there major duty. It’s just probable that some people in a group of many can get rich in the Church (some because they are hard working, educated, inherited richness…) It is these few who are used to give testimonies which are so misleading to others.

In today’s world, people plant churches after failing to secure jobs. They decide to start churches so as to get money for survival. These churches now flourishing with members who never know that their pastor’s main aim of starting the church was to get money. However, this is not only in Uganda, all over the world, people are starting churches for money reasons. The followers are however deceived that it was a calling from God. Such pastors invent stories of how God called them to the ministries with many claiming that they saw fire or a strange light or even hard the voice of God himself.

When the prosperity gospel back fired

In March 2002, Lawrence Agada, an assistant pastor in Chris Oyakhilome’s (one of the richest pastors in Africa) church who was a cashier with the Lagos Sheraton Hotels and Towers, donated cash and gifts totaling N39 million to the church. Agada's donations were in installments. He bought a 2S0KVA generator valued at N4.4 million, and another 27KVA generator for NI.5 million, which he donated to a satellite branch of the church. Before then, he had given N6 million for the refurbishment of the branch, as well as N1 million for the purchase of plastic seats for the headquarters. Agada also contributed N1million to the success of a mega crusade tagged Night of Bliss. His parish pastor, who had no money for a trip to Australia, was given N400, 000. In appreciation, Pastor Oyakhilome wrote to Agada: "May God, who gives seed to the sower and bread for eating, multiply your seeds in Jesus name."

Rather than receive God's blessings, Agada was arrested by the police when his employers discovered that he had stolen from them to give to the church. Agada's employers also insisted that Oyakhilome should refund the money. But the church issued a statement admitting that Agada made donations, but refused to make a refund.

In another incidence, a Florida man heard the senior Pastor of his Church say that if he gave a hundred dollars God would give him a thousand back. The man did but the thousands never came; he brought a law suit against the church.

Pastor Oral Roberts in person prophesied that God was going to raise up many millionaires in the Living Water church (Florida) who would be rich and support the work of the kingdom. A few months later, St. Petersburg Times broke a sad story of what was happening with the Living Water Church. The church had filed for bankruptcy. This large church was not able to meet its budget any more. And then, the Pastor Ron Clark and Belinda had gone off the deep end with a public divorce which only compounded the matter. These events provided more evidence that many of these pastors give head cooked prophesies.

Congregants left as details emerged from the divorce of Ronald and Belinda Clark, the couple who founded Living Water in 1988. Ronald Clark accused his wife of being mentally ill, unfaithful, dabbling in pornography and stealing the churches Easter donations. Belinda Clark claimed in court papers that her husband had a secret plan to sell the church and channel the proceeds overseas with the help of church board chairman Melvin Myer.

It turned out that Pastor Ron enforced tithing in his church and collected three offerings per service, but he, himself, never tithed Belinda Clark, Living Water's $70,000-a-year associate pastor who was fired in the wake of the allegations, accused her husband of domestic violence, of lying to church trustees to ruin her credibility and of having a secret plan to sell the church, place the proceeds in a trust, then have funds funneled to him at a foreign location
.
The above occurrence sends a strong warning to all those who pile to them selves prophets who only prophesy good things happening to people and not telling them to repent from their hidden sins. And I pray that such prophets will be discerned and not allowed to operate the way Oral Roberts did.

It is surprising that no Pentecostal stepped up against the false prophecy of Oral Roberts, However, this is understandable because this man is the mentor of many Pentecostal pastors, he has taught many of his false doctrines to many pastors around the world and since his prophecies prove him wrong, all the pastors he has trained are with no doubt not of God.

In fact, nearly all Pentecostal pastors have given a false prophecy about there followers becoming rich or prosperous at one time or another. When the pastor tells believers that ‘you will become rich’ it becomes a very deceitful lie because if we use the standard of living criteria, there is no single church in the world where all followers became rich. In fact some of the followers in those churches die in a few weeks or months after te prophecy thus not seeing the fulfillment of there awaited prophecies.

There are some examples of people who went for services in Pentecostal churches where the pastor gave prophecies of riches and health who died a few days later. Someone would ask, what happened to the pastor’s prophecies? The answer is always simple- they were not from God.
Let us take another example of Pastor Benny Hinn, One of the major failures of Pastor Hinn was his 2000 prophesy. Trinity Broadcasting Network began its spring 2000 fundraising Praise-A-Thon, with some rather astounding claims. On the April 2nd TBN program, Benny Hinn claimed that “God is about to make a major move to anoint the people of God as soon as Israel signs a treaty with the ailing Hafez Al-Assad of Syria, which will likely be within the next year” (2001). This (according to Hinn) would signal the impending large scale shift of financial wealth from the wicked to those obedient to God. Benny Hinn further said that in order to benefit from this unprecedented supernatural anointing, ‘you must be obedient to God and sow your financial seed (to TBN) now’.

However Benny Hinn lost words when Hafez Al- Assad died before the treaty he had talked about. The death of Assad on June 10th 2000 before the treaty Hinn talked about shows that Benny Hinn did not know what he was talking about, and is further proof that he is a false prophet, if any more evidence was needed.

Some one would think that perhaps God had not foreseen Assad's death, or neglected to tell Benny about it, and maybe God had also misinformed Benny about His alleged "coming move" that was merely weeks or a few months away. That, or God does not talk to Benny Hinn, and Benny invented the entire "move of God" thing in order to extract money from TBN viewers. The major question now is; which is more likely? Now, either God has erred, or Benny Hinn invented these prophecies and he never heard from God. The truth should be obvious - Benny Hinn does not hear from God, he is without doubt a false prophet.

The nature of the prosperity gospel

In these days, it is very common to find some one saying “God is blessing your business right now, He is making you fertile so that you may produce, and He is directing favour to you, Put your hand on the TV set or touch where you are filling pain, God is working, He is solving all your employment problems, I can see He is preparing a partner for you” I am not saying it is bad to get a partner, or a promotion or a good job, Its just that, all those things are not part of the gospel. They are not supposed to be over emphasized since none of them contain salvation.

They point to the world while salvation point to heaven. This a satanic snare to make people so taken up with what is in store for them in this world while forgetting the second coming of Jesus. The Pentecostal gospel presents a theology of distorted vision of God and the Christian life. God is the supplier of financial prosperity, health, and victory when the believer uses their faith. Pentecostals holds the concept that God's children should "eat the best, drive the best, and wear the best." little emphasis on suffering of Christ, the cross, or even self-denial.

The Pentecostal pastors give messages in their churches over different members that God is going to make them millionaires, make them super anointed, give them a world wide ministry, or give them great fame! As a result the members are hooked on their wonderful pastors who prophecy good things even though over the years none of the prophesies ever come to fruition.

This type of gospel can not be true because it is not universal; it is so discriminative and selective. A pastor can spend a whole sermon telling his followers how God is going to make them rich thus excluding those who are already rich for the all of the sermon. It can not be true since it can not be applicable to all Christians irrespective of their class, education, and social context. It is so un fair to tell congregants that all of them will be like Bill Gates if they continue to sow their financial seed. People come up the front and give testimonies of how they bought plots, or got the visas.

These convince others that God’s plan for them is prosperity too. Words like “you will be fulfilled and given in abundance” are common in this gospel. It is also important to note that many who once deceived others of what God has done for them have come up to repent after they left Pentecostalism. In this gospel, God is seen as a no-lose lottery in the sky, a cosmic money machine in which you put in a coin and wait for millions while your “casino buddies” (in this case your fellow Christians) whoop and holler (or shout “Amen” ) and wait for their turn in line. In this sort of system, God’s reason for existing is to give what we want, if we had no needs, God would probably just disappear after all. This gospel, when approached from the prosperity posture, prayer degenerates into coercions, where in “name it and claim it”, believers become devoted to forcing God until he agrees to do what they want. This gospel also attempt to arm twist the Almighty into increasing comforts and underwriting life styles. It is a gospel of selfishness by selfish beings.

“Faith” becomes a crowbar to break down the door of God’s reluctance, rather than a humble attempt to lay hold of his willingness. God is treated as an object, a tool, and a means to an end. God’s blessing on financial giving is turned into money – back guaranteed whereby he is obligated to do precisely whatever we want him to do. Many have developed that phrase “confess and posses” They forget that confess has its roots in the word repent (not claim), which is a total misuse of the word. For you to understand clearly the nature of this new gospel, let me present some quotation from major Pentecostals pastors who preach there gospel from the prosperity point of view.

A famous Pentecostal pastor, Charles Fill More, of the Unity School of Christianity had his re-edition of psalms 23 as below; “The lord is my banker; my credit is good. He makes me lie in the consciousness of omni present abundance; he giveth me the key to his strong box (treasury), he restoreth my faith in his riches; he guideth me in the path of prosperity for his name sake. Yea, though I walk in the very shadow of debt, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me, He prepares a way in the presence of the collector, He fills my wallet with plenty, my measure runneth over, surely goodness and plenty will fall me all the days of my life, and I shall do business in the name of the lord”

Every thing in the passage above has to do with the believer’s happiness, prosperity and good health. Is that the same message which Apostle Paul preached? Did Jesus preach money? Though the answers may be no, It seems like Fill More had never read that Paul and Timothy got sick at some time and they many times suffered at the hands of poverty. Pastor Creflo Dollar also used Psalms 23 to preach his prosperity and health gospel, he said; “Some thing good is gonna happen to you, your cup is going to flow over in the coming year, the unemployed, unmarried – something good is going to happen to you. God is going to lay down a table in your front”

It is the same story with pastors from poor countries, In his sermon entitled, “you are the next in line” Pastor Robert Kayanja, probably most known for his many unfulfilled prophesies had this to preach; “The new season has come, in fact you are the new season, the force of God is going to visit you and throw you into the center where everything happens. You are the next in line”

Anita Oyakhilome wrote in the Rhapsody of Realities, November 2008 that “you have to understand the evil, hardships, and harsh economic conditions in the world are not set against you… In the midst of recession, economic downturn, inflation and disaster, God has ordained your promotion. He has already planned that you’ll be a success irrespective of what going on in the world around you” Such statements cast a big stone of doubt whether such pastors are aware that the Bible talks about poor Christians. It is not surprising that during the Pentecostal worship services, pastors speak while breaking in their words; the “believers” shout “Amen” and “Hallelujah” in all the breaks.

Every time a pastor mentions something that each the followers ears, un counted Amen’s will pour, They are totally taken up by the promises of the riches to come. Little do they know that they are listening to the gospel according to the almighty dollar. Take the example below of a prayer by Bishop T.D Jakes; it is a typical example of the gospel according to happiness. It was entitled “ My prayer for you today”.

“You will find favour with someone you don't expect ...Amen.
You will be too relevant to be ignored...Amen. You will encounter GOD and will never remain the same ...Amen.
The grace for completion will come on you, you shall be blessed till the blessed call you blessed ...Amen.
The mouth saying ''Amen'' to this prayer shall laugh forever ...Amen.
Very very soon and I say very very very soon, GOD is going to do a miracle and lift u up for GOOD.” …Amen.

The prayer above contains some good to hear words which every person would like to be fulfilled in his or her life. This is why many people cross over to the pastors who use such words in their worship services and the pastors who preach about the true salvation fight to get followers. Remember the bibles says “In the last days…people will gather for themselves preachers who speak what they want to hear” It is by no surprise that such a prayer became so popular in the Christian circles, no wonder the prayer circulated so far fast through mail. These preachers are not afraid to relate God’s Holy anointing with materialism, popularity and prosperity, they claim that if you have a new Prado you are ‘anointed’ and ‘blessed’ therefore they preach to everyone giving them envelopes that there blessings are nigh.

This spirit of dominionism and materialism does not see Jesus Christ as Lord but as means to material objectives and healing, the gospel is twisted to a materialistic view as to control the minds of many of those who are badly in need of financial gains. There is no longer any doubt about what you are reading, you just need to tune on your radio or television set to discover how the gospel is no longer in regard to the cross but to material gains

The Bible does not have kind words for people who use religion a way of getting rich, it says “…evils suspicions and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is away to become rich.” Timothy 6:5. Such people existed even in days of Paul and the apostle had to call them ‘people whose minds do not function’ which shows how dangerous this kind of gospel can be to a Christian.

Major Pentecostal celebrations are held in many places; In these events Pastors collects millions and millions of shillings through offering from the poor followers. However before the events, many people are used to give testimonies on radios and television so as to induce others to attend. These testimonies are most of the time materialistic; words like ‘when I attended, I bought a plot and obtained a visa’ are common. Others give testimonies about their supposed change of health. It is just absurd that little about the cross or the second coming is mentioned in these testimonies.

Then the materialistic teaching of sowing the seed, this teaching is one of the major reasons why Pentecostals churches are always full with members. Followers are drip-fed on these teachings. This requires followers to give part of their earnings to the church in offerings and tithes in turn for the promised blessings. The expected dividends on these are divine blessings. With a church full of young company executives and businessmen, every service guarantees enormous revenue expecting God to turn on his tap of blessings. Others give cars, generators, musical equipment and chairs to the church. I believe that returning to God is a good thing but if it is done while expecting blessing then it turns out to be a sin.

Why pentecostal do not love Jesus

When jesus says something, pentecostals do the opposite which makes me conclude that pentecostals do not love Jesus, read on to see for your self.

Jesus said, lift up your cross and follow me, but Pentecostals say, follow Jesus and He will lift your cross

Jesus said, seek the kingdom of heaven of heaven and other things will follow, but Pentecostals say, seek the things of this world first (riches) and others will follow

Jesus said, come to me you that are heavy laden and I will give you rest, but Pentecostals say, come to me that are heavy laden and I will give you riches.

The bible said, even those who give little as they have (including a button) can be appreciated more by God, but Pentecostals say, the more you give the more you are blessed.

The Bible says, the Holy Spirit stays within us to direct us, to the Pentecostals, the Holy Spirit comes during the service.

The Bible says, worship should be done in harmony and peace, but in wrong churches, worship is done in confusion and disorder.

The Bible says, have faith in God, but false religions say, have faith in faith

Jesus said, miracles will follow the believers, but Pentecostals say, believers should follow the miracles.

Jesus said, blessed are the poor but Pentecostals say, blessed are the rich

Jesus said, blessed are those who are persecuted but Pentecostals say, blessed are those who leave a happy life.

Satan in the church

I have a personal friend called Esther who in her disparity to get school fees went to a Pentecostal church in Kampala for prayers. When a Pentecostal pastor prayed for her, her world changed from then, she began seeing strange things at night like flies swarming her room in big numbers at night. This is pretty un common because flies are never common at night. Esther would every night hear a very bad smell without identifying its source. She began getting terrible headaches at night which made her rely on the pastor’s prayers. In a little time, Esther began hearing strange sounds at night until she realized that her life was slowly being controlled by the pastor and the pastor alone. She decided to leave that Pentecostal church to get prayers else where. When she came to our church, Esther was prayed for and never did she get any satanic disturbance again.

There is also a famous true story of a woman in Kampala who went to a Pentecostal church in search for a baby, the pastor prayed for her and she soon got pregnant. However the baby produced was discovered not to be normal when at just months the baby could change shape to that of a snake and sneak away from the bed to steal milk.
Many of dealings of some Pentecostal pastors are turning scary to weak hearts, there is a lady who went to a Pentecostal church just to receive a call later from the person who called him self the pastor of the church. The man told her all about her life and he told her that her life is in danger unless she went for prayers at the same church. The end results were not the best for her.

It has turned out that many Pentecostal are hooked to their churches just because the pastors pray for their problems. They have never realised that after one problem is solved another comes by. It is alleged that when a pastors lays hands on a person, one problem is dealt with and another problem is inserted into the person’s life. In that sense the person will continue to be hooked to the pastor who is viewed as the “problem solver” not knowing that the “man of God” is the “problem creator”. All this is done by use of special powers which do not have any Godly characteristic.

“The Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their consciences seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1).

Benny Hinn gets power from the grave

This may be quite surprising but if you know that your pastor has ever come into contact with Benny Hinn, then; you are receiving the spirit which comes from the grave. If you still doubt, you are going to prove it in the following pages. The secret to Hinn's power is his peculiar anointing, which he connects with Kathryn Kuhlman and Aimee McPherson, founder of the Foursquare Gospel Church. He first felt the "full power of the Holy Spirit" on him at a Kuhlman healing service in 1973 -- and her mantle has presumably fallen upon Hinn. He conducts his meeting almost exactly like hers -- though it takes Hinn much longer to get his audience into the expectant mood that seems to generate psychosomatic "miracles." In an April 7, 1991 sermon, Hinn revealed that he periodically visits Kuhlman's grave and that he is one of the few with a key to gain access to it. He also visits Aimee's grave, where he says: "I felt a terrific anointing ... I was shaking all over ... trembling under the power of God ... 'Dear God,' I said, 'I feel the anointing.' ... I believe the anointing has lingered over Aimee's body."

On that particular TBN broadcast, Hinn said;

“One of the strangest experiences I had a few years ago [was] visiting Aimee’s tomb in California… You can’t get in without a key and I’m one of the very few people who can get in…I felt a terrific anointing when I was there. I actually, I—I, hear this, I trembled when I visited Aimee’s tomb... I believe the anointing has lingered over Aimee’s body. I know this may be shocking to you. ... And I’m going to take David [Palmquist] and Kent [Mattox] and Sheryl [Palmquist] this week. They’re gonna come with me. You—you—you gonna feel the anointing at Aimee’s tomb. It’s incredible. And Kathryn’s. It’s amazing.

In the extract of Hinn’s sermon above, he made it very clear that he receives anointing from the grave of Katherine Kuhlman and Aimee McPherson. In fact he has stated that he goes to the grave of Kuhlman for a re-charge of his powers. It is this power which he uses all over the world to deceive people into Satanism.

This is also called necromancy, It is a way of consulting the dead and God was so much against the activity in the Bible, the Bible also states that those who practice necromancy are not for God but for the devil. This is a very a dangerous practice which shifts the power base from God to the spirits of dead (Satan) .

MYSTERIES OF STRANGES TONGUES

Many people have been caught up in the satanic language without their knowledge; many have been told that they are communicating with God not knowing that Satan is the architect of the language they use. Different satanic groups have identified them selves with the satanic language, It is known as Enochian, It is surprising that some people who claim to speak in the language of angels in reality speak Enochian with or without their knowledge

Secret Codes of the Enochian language

The Enochian (satanic) language has a unique alphabet. Below is a statement in the satanic language and its explanation. However, since this book is not intended to teach people the satanic language, we will not go through the alphabet but only an explanation of the English translated statement.

“Ils daemons ds praf od chis micaolz Artabas de caosgo, ds fifis balzizras De Melek Taus! Nonca gohvlim: Micam adoian de Melek Taus”

The above statement is translated as “O you Demons who dwell upon and are mighty governors of the earth, who execute the judgment Of Satan! To you it is said: Behold the face of Satan”

For a better understanding of the subject, I will provide a few words in Enochian and their translation below.

“all powerful=iaidon, are mighty=chismicaolz, -let there be= christeos,
execute = fifis, cannot =ipamis, conquer= madzilodarp, curse/cursed= amma, Dark Heavens= mahorela, deliverers= obelisong, will exist= gahalana, fires= malpirgi, governor= tabaan, joy of god= mozod, O you sons= noromi”

Above are just a few words in the Enochian language, I have studied the relationship between the Satanist language and the strange language spoken by many Pentecostals and I have discovered that there is a huge similarity. The only problem is that Pentecostals are not ready to believe that some one blinded them to such practices like the use of languages they themselves can not understand.

I have noted that many pastors use the words “amma mama amma…” after coming across the satanic language, I discovered that they in fact curse their followers who think that the “man of God” is speaking the language of angels.

However, considerable evidence has been brought to light which affirm the fact that a number of Pentecostal pastors use the speaking of gibberish un known tongues to invite Satan in their services whose power they use throughout the service, while deceiving their followers that it is the power of God.

Speaking in tongues is one of the most dangerous snares Satan is using today, Satan through the tongue speaker can easily carry out his activities among the worshippers without any one noticing since they do not under stand the message being passed on. For the many times I have come into contact with the un understood strange tongue speakers, it has always been clear that their was a demonic presence.

Since some Pentecostals and their pastors may not directly practice the satanic language, it would not be fair to brand all of them Enochian speakers. However belonging to a movement which fosters un understood tongues is a grave mistake. The fact that many others fake the tongues or lie about them leaves little or no room for any truth in the movement

Demonism in Christian clothes

In my search for the truth I learned that speaking in “un known tongues” is a mark of demon possession. I have witnessed many Pentecostals and Satanists speaking in gibberish tongues and I have failed to draw a line of difference between the two.
What's happening today seems a bit suspicious. People are demonically babbling with nobody present to translate it. That babbling is exactly the same thing that pagans have always done. Though out history, what is now called speaking in tongues was a clear sign of demonic possession, people that spoke in “unknown tongues” were considered to be possessed by demons, but now, people that speak in tongues usually think everyone else is possessed. Satan has put on the Christian clothes to discourage people who are having the true gospel.

Tongues in the occult religions

When you visit a shrine, the lead witchdoctor invokes the spirit to come down and within a few seconds the spirit comes, suddenly the lead witch doctor and some others in the shrine begin to speak some strange tongues which can not be understood by listeners.

It is the same story with the magicians; they speak unknown tongues to make things happen. All other satanic religions and cults like the Kundalini, Subud, Qigong, Shakers and the Universal Church of Satan speak in the same way during worship. It is said that when the spirit descend to them, they are given the ability to speak in such way.

Inside the Pentecostal movement, speaking in tongues is an important pillar. I had been told (during my stay in the Pentecostal movement) that I needed to speak in tongues to evidence the Holy Spirit within me. It is always common to see worshipers jumping up and down, moving from one place to another and shouting high in words the listener can never understand especially during the prayer session.

The arising problem is getting the difference between the strange tongues spoken by the well known satanic movements, the Pentecostals and those in the Bible.

Discerning the tongues

A joint statement by the foundation trust and the Evangelical council admitted “we are also aware that a similar phenomenon can occur under occult/demonic influence”2, according to the council, ‘similar phenomena of tongues’ occur within the Pentecostal movement and satanic organizations. I am however one of those of people who believe that biblical tongues have never been similar to the satanic tongues.

In the book, Religious movements in contemporary America, it is reported that in Haiti, speaking in tongues is a characteristic of both the Pentecostal and Voodoo religions3 There is no difference between the tongues spoken in Voodoo religion and Pentecostalism . Voodoo is a satanic religion which traces its origin in Africa. It goes by no surprise that the type strange tongues used by the voodoo and many other satanic religions have no differences at all.

Many Pentecostal have been lied to that speaking in tongues is the main evidence of being spirit filled. However, if this is the case then John the Baptist had a different spirit from that of the Pentecostals, He did not speak in tongues, raise the dead, or lay hands on people or even heal the sick, yet we are told in scripture that he was filled with the Holy Spirit even in his mother’s womb.

“… and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mothers womb (Luke 1:15)

Since every one should agree with me that John was sent by God, this makes the kind of spirit in the Pentecostal movement far different from the Holy spirit of the Bible or the Pentecostal pastors are lying to their followers about the roles of the Holy spirit.

Dr Kurt reports a tongue speaking Pentecostal woman whom she knew through a missionary, he had pointed out to her that there are often spirits hiding behind the gift of tongues, when she started to pray in tongues, the missionary also prayed for her since he had sensed the presence of an un holy spirit, The spirit which was making the lady speak in strange tongues then confessed to come from the church which it later revealed to be the church of Satan.

Strange tongues in the bible

Those who sincerely believe in “speaking in tongues” think that tongues are necessary for an individual to be completely saved to the “uttermost”, so let us see what “tongues” in the Bible really meant and later we will see what they mean in Satanism.

Since the Bible is the only word of God, we are going to carefully search it with an open and prayerful mind to discover for ourselves the “gift of speaking in tongues”

In the bible, tongues is another word which means languagues, only in the book of revelation, the word tongues, is combined with languages and people to speak of all people who inhabit the earth (Rev 7:9, 10:11…)

Jesus Christ is the origin of the word “new tongues” In Mark 16:17, he promised that the gift of speaking in tongues will follow the believers

“…and these signs will follow those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues”. (Note that Jesus did not talk about “un known tongues” but new tongues)

One important thing to note from this verse is that the gift was to follow the believers. This means that praying for it, waiting for it and wishing for it is not Godly. It’s unfortunate that today the “so called believers” seek the gift instead of the gift seeking them.

It is also important to note the reason why the gift was given, In verse 15, Christ had ordered the disciples to go and preach to all the nations, since these people where Hebrews, they greatly needed this gift of tongues (speaking in new but existing languages) in order to preach to the non Jews whose languages they never knew.

The first record of usage of tongues is found in the book of Acts chapter 2, it all began in verse four when Holy Spirit enabled the disciple to speak in tongues.

“And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance”

We should carefully note two very important points hear, first it was the Holy Spirit which filled them not the evil spirit, secondly, the believers spoke in other tongues and not unknown tongues.

There were very many people from different regions and languages at the time when Peter preached and all heard him in their native languages ( Verses 6 and 8) In fact, Verses 9-11 mention a long list of tribes, nations and different languages which were represented and each heard in there mother language.

In short terms, Peter spoke in one language which verse 7 suggests to be Hebrew with all the people present hearing him speak in their own language. Between verses 4-12, it is emphasized twice that the people who saw the disciples speak were amazed, that amazement is however understable since its truly amazing to see one person speak with all the rest hearing in there mother languages. However, unlike that time, Pentecostal tongues are a good cause for sarcasm

If you can remember, Jesus said in Mark 16:17 that the gift was to follow the believers, we see here in Acts that the believers were just followed by the gift; they didn’t pray or cry for it. You can also remember that this gift was given to preach to unbelievers which also came to a fulfillment here.

We should ask ourselves whether people who speak in the so called tongues have the following characteristics which are the only biblical characteristics which can be used to identify the true tongues;-

The gift follows them, they do not seek it.
They use the gift to preach to unbelievers
As they speak, the people around hear them in their own languages.
The tongues spoken are known.
Filled with the holy spirit not the evil spirit

If those characteristics are not met, then the tongues spoken are not from God. Therefore the witchdoctors, the Kundalini, Subud, Qigong, magicians, church of Satan, the Pentecostals and others may not be filled with the Holy Spirit but the evil spirit.

What Pentecostals don’t know about first Corinthians tongues

Corinth was greatly influenced by Greek paganism which included demonstrations, frenzies and orgies all intricately interwoven into their religious practices. In post Homeric times the cult of the Dionysiac orgies made their entrance into the Greek world. According to this, music, the whirling dance, intoxication and utterances had the power to make men divine; to produce a condition in which the normal state was left behind and the inspired person perceived what was external to himself and the senses

In other words, the soul was supposed to leave the body, hence the word ecstasy (ek stasis). They believed that while the being was absent from the body, the soul was united with the deity. At such times, the ecstatic person had no consciousness of his own.
The Corinthians of Paul’s time were living under the influence of Dionysiac religious customs. It was natural that they would find certain similarities more familiar and appealing. Thus the Corinthians began to put more stress on certain gifts like glossolalia.

Due to the influence of this cult, the Christians in First Corinthians greatly misused the gift of tongues; many began shouting in their mother languages which many of the congregants did not understand. This was done in disguise of being absent from the body while being united to the divine as Dionysiacism had taught them. Paul got so concerned and he gave guidelines to the Corinthians to regulate the speaking of foreign tongues which included the following;

Paul informed the Corinthians that the gift of tongues was only a sign for the un believers (v.22) That is one of the simplest verses in the Bible to understand, however, though the verse is so clear, many people who profess to speak in tongues have continuously and stubbornly gone against it. Pentecostals have always used tongues as signs for the believers which puts them out of the biblical line.

Paul looked a situation of people who spoke their mother languages which many people in Corinth did not understand and he related the situation to that of mad people (v.23). It does not give meaning for people to stand up in church and every body speaks in his or her own language. That according to Paul seemed like madness.

It goes by no surprise that the prayer sessions in the Pentecostal Church are some of the most chaotic scenes human kind will ever see, with everyone shouting on his own and bubbling un understood words, in this case order becomes history and emotionalism and actacy take over.

Paul really got concerned about this matter, He told the Corinthians that if they wanted to use foreign tongues two or at most three of these tongues should be used during worship (v. 27). This was done to prevent chaos in the place of worship. However if you visit a Pentecostal church, you will see the exact opposite of the Biblical regulation. Every one normally strives to speak in the so called tongues and this is where the biblical verse of Romans 10:2 is fulfilled.

“For I bear them witness that they have the zeal for God, but not according to knowledge”

With so much zeal, these people shout in languages they don’t even understand not knowing that they are praying in vain. They in fact pray to their god deity, there prayers can be heard but not from the God of heaven. The Pentecostal tongues were cleverly coined at Azusa street as a way of medium which would be used to worship the fallen angel without any one realizing it.

Paul further stressed to the Corinthians that if any one speaks in tongues which are not understood to others, then there must be an interpreter. In other words, if someone is to speak English (a known language) in a French congregation, there must be someone to interpret (v.27). Though Pentecostals tongues are totally different from the Biblical tongues, it’s greater shame that they even lack interpreters. In fact, the Bible says “if there is no interpreter, the one who wish to speak in tongues should be silent (v.28) and speak to himself and to his God (in silence)”

To restore more order in worship, Paul commanded the Corinthians that not more than one person can speak at the same time (v.30). However this is a daily activity when ever Pentecostals are worshipping. One should speak and keep quite for another to begin. It should not be done in a chaos and state of confusion as it is always done in Pentecostalism

We should note that Paul stressed out that those who wish to speak or pray in tongue should be able to understand what they are praying.

“What is the conclusion then? I will pray with spirit and I will also pray with understanding …” (v.15)

He went further to ask what happens if a choir leader made a song in a language which other choir members do not know. This implies worshipping in a language well known. In case where it was only the speaker who knew the language and there was no interpreter, the speaker of that language say English, should keep quite and speak to God.

In fact when Paul was talking about people who have little knowledge about the gift of tongues and how it is used, he said;

“Brethrens, do not be children in understanding; however in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature” (v. 20)

He reminded the Corinthians that God is not a God of confusion (in worship) but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (v.33). Pentecostals can not assure us that God gave them permission to be chaotic in worship. It is important to note from here that, there is no church of the true God where people worship in confusion, and if a church worships in confusion, it is absolutely clear that the spirit present is not holy.

One of Paul’s main statements about the subject is found in verse 18 and 19 “I thank God. I speak in tongues more than you all”. This was because Paul had widely traveled and probably knew more languages than many, he went to say “ Yet in church I rather speak five words that I may teach others also than speaking a ten thousand words in an un known tongue (language)

Paul’s meaning in that verse was very to understand, its far better to just to say “Jesus loves you” which are just three words than spending a whole day preaching in a language which no one understands.

At this moment you should be able to recall the points the Bible has mentioned so far about the true tongues, let’s go through them again;

The gift follows believers – No one should seek it Mk 16:17
The gift is used to preach to unbelievers – not believers. I Cor 14:22
Every one must hear in own language. Acts 2:6,8
The tongues spoken are known languages – Acts 2:11
They should be from the holy spirit- Acts 2:4
The person praying must understand his prayer.- I Cor 14:15
Two or at most three should use tongues in a church worship – not all.- 27
There should be an interpreter.-I Cor 14:27-32
If there is no interpreter, keep quite.- I Cor 14:28
One person should speak at a time. I Cor 14:30
Those who don’t understand the points above are immature. I Cor 14:20

The important question at this moment should be, do the Pentecostal tongues fit the biblical characteristics above? The answer will of course be no, which leaves our friends the Pentecostals with no choice other than to repent and forsake the movement which drives them into satanic practices.

Faking and learning the tongues

Not all Pentecostal tongues are satanic or demon influenced, It has been discovered that some of the Pentecostal tongues are learned behavior and others faked rather than an activity of the Holy Spirit. Many people just fake the words they gibber and in turn brand them holy tongues
The material explanation arrived at by a number of studies is that glossolalia is "learned behavior"., What is taught is the ability to produce language-like speech.

This is only a partial explanation, but it is a part that has withstood much testing. It is possible to train novices to produce glossolalic speech. One experiment with 60 undergraduates found that 20% succeeded after merely listening to a 60-second sample, and 70% succeeded after training:
This is why people of the same Pentecostal church tend to speak tongues of the same pattern and syllable simply because they copied the pattern of their pastor, an influential member or must have learnt through time the standard pattern. Those who may not have learnt the gibbering tongue are told that the holy spirit has not given them the gift yet.

The power of disbelief

“… and I will send them the power of error so that they believe that which is false” 2 Thessalonians 2:11

The verse talks about people who constantly reject the truth and God leaves them for the power of error, such people can never turn from there ways or reject their pastors even though they see faults with them.

In fact many Pentecostals have been caught up here, many of them have seen there Pastors do very awkward things, many have witnessed the false prophesies, the sexual misbehavior, the theft and improper conduct by their pastors, However, they are engulfed by the power of un belief, so that as the Bible say, ‘they will believe what is false’. For a long time, he made ever one believe that he was really dying and living on prayers. The problem is the pastor wasn’t dying at all

Michael Guglielmucci, who inspired hundreds of thousands of young Christians with his terminal cancer “battle”, has been exposed as a fraud.

Earlier this year, Mr Guglielmucci released a hit song, Healer , which was featured on Sydney church Hillsong’s latest album. The song debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA charts. It since has become an anthem of faith for believers, many of whom are suffering their own illness and were praying for a miracle for Mr Guglielmucci, who has claimed for two years to be terminally ill.27
In one church performance that has attracted 300,000 hits on YouTube, he performs his hit song with an oxygen tube in his nose. It appears Mr Guglielmucci, who was a pastor with one of Australia’s biggest youth churches, Planet Shakers, may even have deceived his own family. His father later revealed that Michael was also a pornography addict since the age of 12

The Pentecostal movement is full of head cooked testimonies which have no evidenced back up. However, the false testimony of Pastor Michael Guglielmucci is a sad one given the fact many people with different ailments and diseases used his healing song as an anthem of healing not knowing that it was a child of fraud.

JOHN HAGEE IS A PROPHET OF DOOM

Most people who see and hear the Rev. John C. Hagee are impressed. However, careful evaluation of the teachings of Hagee, pastor at the San Antonio-based Cornerstone Church, reveals false teaching and a defective view of a basic and essential issues regarding salvation and the Gospel. Hagee preaches another way of salvation for the Jew, which is in direct violation of Paul’s warnings in Galatians 1:6-9.43

The Houston newspaper then quoted Hagee's own shocking words: "I'm not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith... In fact, trying to convert Jews is a 'waste of time. . Jews already have a covenant with God and that has never been replaced by Christianity." (Houston Chronicle, April 30, 1988, sec, 6, pg. 1). But, Hagee knows that most Christians and almost all dispensational believers do not accept this and are in fact shocked by it.
For those who do not know this man, I am pleased to tell you that he is one of the major proponents of the word faith movement. He says that, with faith, God must heal and bless any one, he has also written many books on “Write it down and make it happen”. However, this man wears glasses (Spectacles), this means that he either doesn’t have faith or he is a false prophet lying about his work. I believe he is both.

PAT ROBERTSON

He teaches the charismatic false doctrines and has led millions astray into the charismatic movement. People are lead into such demonic beliefs which draw the believer’s attentions to Robertson as a person who will usher in Jesus Christ while forgetting the basics of the second coming.

Robertson also announced then that the Christian Broadcasting Network will provide worldwide coverage of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. In that case some needs to warn Robertson about the path he is using.

One researcher commented about Robertson outrageous claim in this way "I can’t see any way out of his cameras melting if he attempted such a thing with the true coming. If they fell, he would say you didn’t have faith30.

He claimed that consulting physicians was connected with the mark of the beast31 In February 1956, at a healing crusade in Miami, Florida, Coe laid hands on a little boy who was stricken with polio. The boy's mother, Ann Clark, was told by Coe: "If you believe Jesus heals the child, take the braces off, and leave them off." She immediately removed the braces from the boy's feeble legs, but as he attempted to take a step, he collapsed to the floor. Believing the false teaching that Coe and the other faith healers preached that God had promised her boy's healing through faith, Mrs. Clark determined not to put the braces back on. Soon the boy's legs began to swell and she took him to a doctor, who ordered the braces to be put back on. Her letter to Jack Coe, seeking his counsel, was ignored. She contacted the police and Coe was charged with practicing medicine without a license. After a highly publicized trial, the judge dismissed the case.

Though he taught that healing was guaranteed in the atonement and warned his followers against using medicine and consulting physicians, Coe went to the hospital when he fell ill with polio only a few months after the aforementioned trial. He succumbed to this disease a few weeks later, and it would be difficult not to see the hand of God in such a remarkable coincidence.

ORAL ROBERTS

He is the owner of Oral Roberts University and a very popular Pentecostal pastor. His son compelled the lie by claiming that God was serious “God will not extend Dad’s life” his son preached. He raised the money and was spared

Roberts claims that sickness is of the devil, and during the early years of his ministry, he claimed to be able to discern the demons of illness through his right hand. Roberts claimed that he "felt a manifestation of God's presence in his right hand" which supplied a "point of contact" between the believer and the healing power of God, giving him "an assurance that resulted in the healing of thousands of people"

In the early 1950s, Roberts began to promise his followers that their financial gifts would be returned to them by God seven fold. In 1954 he initiated his "blessing-pact," whereby he offered to pray that any gift given to his ministry be returned "in its entirety from a totally unexpected source" .In 1950 Roberts claimed God had instructed him to tell people to expect Jesus to return that year. In 1954 he predicted "a coming together of God's anointed for the final revival"28
In his biography of Oral Roberts, David Harrell, Jr., noted that John Kobler interviewed two individuals recommended by Roberts as 'the most striking instances of cures.' Kobler reported that 'while both believed themselves healed, one had never visited a physician, and the other had subsequently undergone surgery to remove a cancer’ .From the best examples of his miracles which Roberts him self provided, there is no longer any doubt that the miracles Oral Roberts claimed were never real.

Though Roberts called upon people to get miracles from his crusade, Many people lost their lives during those same crusades died while there.

MORRIS CERULLO

He claims he was led out of a Jewish orphanage by two angelic beings, transported to heavenfor a face to face meeting with God, and told he would be capable of revealing the future One day, he claimed that God was directly speaking through him, and he said “would you surrender your pocket books unto me, saith God, and let me be the Lord of your pocket ... He was the first to claim that when we come to Christ, financial blessings and good health become part of us. Though those teaching were got from clearly cultic belief, today, if you talk about them, Pentecostals will say you have no faith. His positive-confession teachings have spawned an entire movement within modern Pentecostalism, and its proponents have vast influence.

Hagin teaches that Christ's physical death did not remove sin. Rather, it was Christ's alleged spiritual death and his alleged struggles in hell which removed sin. Hagin teaches that Christ was sent to hell and there he struggled against Satan and the demons and by his victory over them he was born again. This is in direct contrast with many scriptures like John 19:30 and Heb 9:14
It seems Hagin had forgotten that Jesus Christ was never a sinner, He was never tormented in hell by Satan and the demons and such teachings only glorify Satan but not our Lord and master Jesus Christ. He uses no biblical back up at any time, and there is no doubt his teaching are not heavenly.

Pentecostals should stop pretending and agree that cancer, heart disease and diabetes are real and they exist. It is time to put aside that teaching brought by Hagin from Gnostics and Satanists that sickness is not real

A.A ALLEN, ANOTHER FALSE PASTOR

Though hailed today by Benny Hinn and other Laughing Revival leaders as a great evangelist and healer, Pentecostal latter rain healing- evangelist A.A. He had to stop this when some refused to bury their dead loved ones.

Allen also claimed to have the authority to lay hands on those who gave to his ministry, granting them "the power to get wealth." Many of his books promised prosperity. Three of these were The Secret to Scriptural Financial Success (1953), Power to Get Wealth (1963), and God's Guarantee to Bless and Prosper You Financially (1968). In one story often related by Allen, he was praying for the money to pay a $410 printing bill when the $1 bills in his pocket were instantly changed to $20 bills. Allen told his followers: "I believe I can command God to perform a miracle for you financially." Allen built his own 2400-acre community called Miracle Valley, in Arizona.

Allen was arrested for drunk driving during a revival in 1955. He divorced his wife in 1967, in spite of the fact that she had stood by him during the many troubles he had brought upon himself, and three years later he died alone at a motel in San Francisco while his team was conducting a crusade in West Virginia. In fact he sent recorded messages to listeners in America, UK and Philippines informing them that the reports about his sickness and death where not true and was to fly to a current miracle campaign. He carefully followed up on a list of 28 cases of alleged healings. Dr Kurt found out that: "Ten had not been healed, seven had experienced an improvement in their condition, eleven had diseases in which the mind can play an important part. In the whole of this extensive report, there is not one clear case of healing from an organic disease" Even Dr. William Nolen who spent a long time investigating Kuhlman wrote in his book, Healing: A Doctor in Search of a Miracle, that he was unable to document medically even one case of physical healing, though large numbers of them were claimed.

Kuhlman fell in love with married evangelist Burroughs Waltrip, who left his wife and two children and married her. In 935, Waltrip and Kuhlman were caught hugging and kissing in the church office prior to a service. Initially they kept their romance a secret; however, in 1937 Waltrip divorced his wife, Jessie, leaving her and his two young sons in Texas.
Kurt Koch, recorded a one of the many false miracles of Kuhlman, he reported that “Before the beginning of a meeting, the doctor was standing near the elevator in which about 100 patients in wheelchairs were being taken up in turns. Among them was a man without a wheelchair who was limping very badly. The doctor asked him, "You find it painful to walk?"
"Yes, I had an operation two years ago. But it did not heal. So now I am hoping that Kathryn Kuhlman will heal me."
"Shall I get you a wheelchair?"
"Yes, that would be nice of you."
The doctor brought the lame man a wheelchair, in which he was taken into the auditorium. During the meeting Kathryn called out into the hall, "There's a man here with cancer in his hip. You're cured. Your pain is gone. Come down and claim your cure."
The man in the wheelchair was embarrassed at the idea of being pushed forward to the platform in a wheelchair. So he stood up and walked slowly down the aisle. Behind him came one of the ushers, pushing his wheelchair. The doctor watched carefully. It was the man for whom he had borrowed the chair. When he reached the stage, Kathryn Kuhlman asked him,
"Whose wheelchair is that? Not yours surely?"
"Yes, it is," said the man. He did not want to give a long explanation. . Kathryn continued,
"You've had cancer in the hip and now your pain is gone. Is that right?"
"Yes," he answered.
"Bend over so everyone can see." He bent over. "Walk around." He walked around. "Isn't the Holy Spirit wonderful?" she cried. A sound Of rejoicing went round the hall.
After wards the Doctor inquired of this man, and it was surprising that nothing had changed in his condition, but in Christian circles, the news had spread every where that a man in a wheel chair had been healed13
In late 1975 a serious heart condition suddenly forced Kuhlman to cancel many appearances and eventually to undergo major surgery. She never recovered, and died in 1976.
There were several nasty legal suits involving former employees. Then during her final illness a stranger gained her loyalty and caused her to change her will, thereby depriving the foundation of resources to continue her ministry.

AIMEE SEMPLE MCPHERSON

According to the Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements Aimee is "the most prominent woman leader Pentecostalism has produced to date." She was married three times and divorced twice. In 1911 she married Harold Stewart McPherson. He complained about her hysterical behavior and her neglect of him, and in 1921 the marriage ended in divorce6

In May 1926, McPherson disappeared and was thought to have been drowned while swimming off the California coast. A month later she turned up in Mexico, claiming to have been kidnapped, but the evidence led most people to believe that she had an affair with a former employee, Kenneth Ormiston, who was married at the time. The two had been seen together earlier in the year during Aimee McPherson's trip to Europe. At the same time Aimee sailed for Europe, Ormiston disappeared from his job, and his wife, Ruth, registered a missing-person report at police headquarters. She told police a certain prominent woman was responsible for her husband's disappearance

They had also been seen together checking into the same hotels at various times in California, after her return from Europe, prior to the alleged kidnapping. Though McPherson claimed to have wandered for 14 hours across roughly 20 miles of cruel desert covered with mesquite, cactus, and catclaw to escape her captors, when she was found she showed no sign of having been through such an ordeal. Her shoes were not scuffed or worn; there were grass stains on the insteps (there was no grass in the desert through which she claims to have wandered); she was not dehydrated or sunburned; her lips were not parched, cracked, or swollen; her tongue was not swollen; her color was normal; her dress was not torn and bore no dust or perspiration stains.

The dress collar and cuffs, though white in color, were barely soiled. Further, she was wearing a watch her mother had given her--a watch she had not taken with her to the beach!8
Aimee told reporters that her ankles were bruised and torn by ropes from her captivity, but there had been no sign of such injuries when she was examined. An exhaustive search was made to find the adobe shack with a wooden floor where she claimed she had been held captive and which she described in detail to the authorities, but no such shack was found in a 46-square-mile area. Experienced desert men and trackers (one had ridden that country as a cowboy for 37 years, another for 20), who attempted to find her attackers, traced her footsteps, and they found where she apparently had gotten out of an automobile on a road not far from where she was found. The senior tracker testified that he examined every foot of the ground over which she had claimed to have walked and that her tracks had been found nowhere. As for the shack, he said: "I do not know of an adobe house such as the one described by Mrs. McPherson within a hundred and fifty miles of Agua Prieta, and I know every house in this vast area"

A grocery receipt signed by McPherson was found in a Carmel, California, cottage where it appears Aimee had met Ormiston during the time she was alleged to have been kidnapped. Several eye-witnesses testified that they saw the two together during that period.
She bobbed her hair and started drinking, dancing, and wearing short skirts. In her early years she had preached against such things. Her choir director, Gladwyn Nichols, and the entire 300-member choir resigned because of her lifestyle. He told the press that they left because of "Aimee's surrender to worldliness--her wardrobe of fancy gowns and short skirts, jewelry, furs, her new infatuation with cosmetics and bobbed hair, all specifically condemned by the Scriptures"

Aimee McPherson promised that physical healing is available to those who have complete faith. In spite of this, most who came to her meetings in search of healing left disappointed. To go through McPherson's healing line required that one obtain a card, and these were normally limited to 75 people.
McPherson had frequent terrific fights with her mother (Mildred) who was her business associate in her successful evangelistic empire . In 1927 Aimee had her mother fired from the positions she had long held in her Foursquare church. Mildred returned for a brief time to help during a massive financial crisis created by Aimee's unwise investments, but in 1929 Mildred left her daughter Aimee's ministry permanently "after receiving a broken nose during an explosive argument"

When Aimee McPherson died of a drug overdose in 1944, she left her mother ten dollars of out her fortune of millions with the stipulation that if she (the mother) contested it, she would get nothing

Charles Parham was not sent by God

Pentecostalism traces its origin from this man; in the early 1900s Parham had a small Bible college (Bethel Bible College) in which he taught the need for a restoration of the New Testament teachings based on the book of the Acts. He laid down the foundation of Pentecostalism and he is the founder and father of the movement.

Parham deceived his followers that missionaries would go to the ends of the earth and would not have to learn the languages but would speak in the tongues which the natives would understand. In fact, most of the early Pentecostals believed this. It didn't work that way, though. When A.G. Garr traveled to India and attempted to speak to the people in supernatural tongues, he quickly found that he could not communicate.

Parham, the founder of Pentecostalism, was riddled with doctrinal heresies. He taught that there were two separate creations, and that Adam and Eve were of a different race than people who allegedly lived outside of the Garden of Eden. He believed in a partial rapture composed of tongues speakers. All those teachings were not Biblical but from the mind of Parham.

In spite of his teaching that it was always God's will to heal and that medicine and doctors must be shunned, one of Parham's sons died at age 16 of a sickness which was not healed. His other son died at age 37. Most of those who attended Parham's meetings were not healed. In October 1904 a nine-year-old girl named Nettie Smith died. Her father was an avid follower of Parham and refused medical treatment for his daughter. Nettie's death turned local public opinion against Parham because the little girl's sickness was treatable and the community therefore considered her death unnecessary. Parham himself suffered various sicknesses throughout his life and at times was too sick to preach or travel. For example, he spent the entire winter of 1904-05 sick and bedridden

In spite of his own preaching that healing is guaranteed in the atonement. Parham was the first Pentecostal preacher to pray over handkerchiefs and mail them to those who desired his ministrations

In 1908 Parham raised funds to travel to the Holy Land on an archaeological expedition to search for the lost ark of the covenant. He claimed to the press that he had information about its location and that his finding the ark would fit into the end times biblical scheme. By December he announced that he had sufficient funds and he traveled to New York allegedly to begin his journey to Jerusalem. He never purchased a ticket to the Middle East and returned home dejectedly in January, claiming he was robbed after arriving in New York

In 1907 Charles was arrested and charged with sodomy (homosexuality) in Texas. I believe it is simply impossible for God to use such a man to set up His church.

Why Jesus is against pentecostal miracles

This is a very important section of this site, if Pentecostal miracles where really true, they would be similar or even a little similar to those ones of Christ. We are going to see how biblical miracles happened, if they perfectly fit with that of Pentecostals we will conclude that Pentecostals are true, but if there is not perfect fit, we should admit that these men are not of God.

A true miracle is self explanatory; it is a dramatic, demonstrable fact. No where in the New Testament is there a record of a divine spokesman arguing for the validity of miracles. No logical scheme is needed to establish such a case. Miracles either happen, or they don’t.
When Jesus performed signs, even his enemies did not deny the effect of such; they merely attempted to attribute his power to some other source (e.g., Satan; cf. Matthew 12:24). The leaders of the Jewish community did not doubt that Peter and John had performed a notable miracle when they healed the lame man at the temple; rather, they sought to mute the sign’s impact by threats of violence (cf. Acts 4:14ff). Even the unbelievers of unbelievers could admit “This man doeth many miracles” (John 11:47, Mark 2:12) yet today we only see Pentecostals promoting their miracles.

However today, we have multitudes of Pentecostal pastors who labour so hard to convince people that they perform miracles. If a lame person is truly healed, or a dead man is resurrected, for sure many are bound to know without a pastor explaining. With the many news channels present, such news would be aired in minutes

Secondly, Jesus did not publicize or advertise his healings to create a sensational reputation, rather he at times commanded those healed to “tell no one” (Mathew 8:1-9, 9:27-31). Can we say the same about the Pentecostal pastors today? Do they advertise or publicize there healings? If they do, then they are not of Jesus. There is no miracle which Jesus performed just “for the sake”, He had a reason for every miracle as man who was to lead us to the way of salvation. But today, pastors spend a lot of money just to publicize there miracles which really never happen.

Jesus did not at one time use his healings as excuse for raising money from his followers. There is no incident any where in the Bible where we see Jesus using his healing power to get money from the people, However, we have some incidences in the Bible where the people who where being used by Satan asked for money in return for their service. There fore any one who uses miracle as means of raising money and accumulating reaches can never be from God. Remember that at the beginning of this chapter we discovered that one of the Pentecostal described miracles as “a racket to collect dollars”

Jesus performed no partial healings, people were made whole by Christ and no one had to continue with medication after Jesus’ healing encounter (Mathew 15:19 – 31, Mark 7:31 – 37) Today we see people in Pentecostal churches who say that since they met the ‘Man of God’ there health is improving. Jesus’ healing was instant and people would get well there and then. So if any persons healing takes more than a second to accomplish, then it cant be termed as a miracle but as natural healing which can even be influenced by the devil.

Genuine miracles were not slow, progressive processes; rather, they produced instantaneous or spot on effects. Note: “and straightway he received his sight” (Mark 10:52); “and immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength” (Acts 3:7).
In the New Testament, one never reads such statements as this: “Paul prayed for him, and within three weeks he was cured.” Yet, such testimonies are common among the devotees of modern miracle.

Jesus never failed to heal a person he attempted to heal, and He never had any embarrassing explanation to make for failures. This is where many Pentecostal pastors have been taken off the right track, many of them have failed to heal a person at some point, and many have had some explanations to cover up for their failures which did not happen with Jesus. Though pastors say that it is the lack of faith, we should not that it was only at one incidence when Jesus demanded faith, in some instances, He healed people who had no faith at all.

No question was ever raised for the genuineness of his healings as to whether the patient was actually ill, or was actually healed. The people Jesus healed where un doubtedly lame or sick or real dead people who where raised. A genuine miracle will generate more than a superficial and temporary interest. It will have an abiding effect. The miracles of Christ were never denied during the apostolic age, nor even in the immediate ages beyond. By this we mean there must be no possible way to explain the miracle in a natural fashion.

Today, we see many pastors parading people they claim received miracles, they come with so called evidence to convince the audience, I watched one pastor who brought a man supposedly healed of Aids, the man had papers which showed that he once tested positive and later negative. That is however different from the miracles of Jesus, the patients were real and no explanation was needed to convince any one about the moracles since they were so plain.
Can the miracles of Christ be explained in any natural fashion? They cannot. For instance it cannot be argued that the blind man of John 9:1ff was psychosomatically afflicted, for the gentleman had been born in that condition. How can a perfectly restored ear, that had been amputated, be explained by current processes (Luke 22:50-51)

As a general rule, the miracles of the Bible era were done in the presence of a multitude of credible witnesses—even hostile observers. When the Lord multiplied the loaves and fishes, possibly some ten thousand or more people were present (cf. John 6:10ff). Truly, the signs validating Christianity were not “done in a corner” (Acts 26:26). Today, we see people coming upfront and claiming miracles which no one witnessed.

Considering the nature of miracles in the Bible, the Pentecostals “miracles” there fore have no place in the Bible, they are just a proxy for money rising and a satanic bait for attracting people to wrong churches.

In conclusion there fore, many Pentecostal miracles are faked, hypnotic, satanic, and or psychosomatic. Though some may be real counterfeit, They do not at any time conform to the biblical standards. There is nothing like miracles from God in the Pentecostal movement.

Remember the bible says “…and he (Satan) will use miracles to deceive those who are to perish” II Thessalonians 2:10

Wolves in the sheep clothing

Jesus also predicted that many would put on the sheep’s clothes but when they are wolves. (Matt 7:15). This means that they will portray that they work for Christ but when they are working for Satan. This statement has come to a fulfillment especially when we see miracle workers practicing sodomy, grabbing land, committing adultery and financially exploiting their followers. They preach in Jesus’ name and work miracles but working for Satan.

During the days of Paul, the same problem had risen, there where some people who had started calling themselves “Apostles” from God and they could deceive people into their beliefs. Paul warned the Corinthians that “these men are not the apostles of Jesus but are lying about their work. He also warned that Satan can disguise himself into an angel of light. This is however bad news to many innocent people, who go to churches, shout the name of Jesus, jump and fall down. In many of the services they are told about miracles, little do they know that they are worshiping a disguised being- Satan disguising himself and hence worshiped as Jesus.

The book of Revelation 16:14, talks about demon spirits which Satan assigned the role of making miracles all over the world. It is these spirits which make the counterfeit miracles even in churches world wide.

The shocking fact about miracles

The Bible shows that miracles will take people to hell, but the Bible does not show any where that miracles will take any one to heaven. I know, you may be stunned by this statement, but it will be easy to prove. For this case, let us move together to the book of II Thessalonica 2:9-10

First, the Bible talks about the emergency of the evil one who performs counterfeit miracles, note that verse 10 talks about the lawless one who deceive people with miracles. The Bible is however clear on those who are being deceived by the miracles – those who are going to hell or those who are perishing.

This is not too much surprising; lately we have seen many people being deceived into perishing because of miracles. The Bible had long seen that one of the major tricks of Satan would be to use miracles to sway people into his churches. Many miracles workers today are real Satanists who are just lying about their work (II Cor 11: 12-14)

However, we should note that Satan performed the first miracle in the Bible. He made the snake talk (Gen 3) It was clear from the beginning that his greatest trick would be the use of miracles.

Miracles which never happened

When a person begins to talk about the miracles in the world which never happened, the person will write one of the biggest books in history. This is because, these fake and un true miracles have happened in every corner of Pentecostal churches. Pentecostals pastors have credited to them selves many miracle to them selves thought a close scrutiny of their claims has led to the discovery of the opposite.

Recently, a woman named Grace Kashemeire came out and apologized to people for spending many years of her life deceiving people that she had been healed of AIDS, the sad point of it was her revelation that she had been told to lie by a very famous pastor (Imelda Namutebi) .This woman went to many Pentecostal churches spreading her lies and in regard to her testimony many Pentecostals went out of their churches to spread wrong news that their pastors can heal AIDS.

This is a direct extract from one of the leading news papers in Uganda concerning the story of Grace “For years Grace Kashemeire, 55 told Christians that Pastor Imelda Namutebi Kula had cured her of HIV/AIDS by praying for her … Now Kashemeire says it was all a lie! She claims that it was Pastor Namutebi who in 1999, asked her to declare that her (Namutebi’s) prayers had cured her of HIV/AIDS . As a reward Kashemeire was allegedly promised a monthly stipend of 350,000 shillings and protection”

The Los Angeles Times presented a behind the scene sad story of the miracle of a young boy William Vandernkolk which really never happened.

As in many of his crusades, William Vandernkolk of Los angels, an 11 year old boy was presented by Benny Hinn as a boy who miraculously recovered from blindness, ‘I liked it first because I thought I was being healed’ says William in the living room of his aunt and uncle’s home.

As it was watched on the screen all over the world, Hinn bends down to William, his hands on the child’s face. ‘Look at these tears’ says Hinn, peering into the child’s eyes “William, baby, can you see? Hinn asks. Before 15,000 people in a Las Vegas arena, William nods, in a small voice, the boy said, “As soon as the God touched me, I could see better” With an arm wrapped around William, Hinn then tells the audience that God has told him to pay the child’s standing medical bills and to sponsor his education. However, today Williams is still legally blind and says his sight never improved, and that his on stage comments were wishful thinking.

It is just too bad for the millions of people around the world who watch Pastor Hinn’s miracles like the one of William on TV believing that they are really true.

“It’s pretty sad when you mess with a little boy’s mind” says Raid Melthrattre, who is Williams’s uncle and guardian. The boy never improved, he is still blind and he never got a single penny from the preacher for medication or education (as Hinn had promised). Today Williams sits back and thinks about his so called healing and feels pity for the hundreds or thousands of people who accepted to join Hinn’s Church because of the miracle which never was. “I feel so bad for the people who joined a wrong movement because of my untrue miracle” William said.

Justine Peter, a minister from Mississippi, remembers going to a faith healing service as a teenager wanting God to heal his cerebral palsy. Next to him, the elderly man in a wheel chair emptied his wallet into the offering basket, a move that caught the eye of the preacher, Peter recalls the pastor pointing to the man and saying “brother, before this night is over you are going to walk out of here”

Peter says he remembers looking relentlessly at the elderly man still in the wheel chair, and seeing the anguish in his eyes at the end of the service. The old man, like many others in the Pentecostal movement are living with the false hopes and promises which are never fulfilled.6

I have personally met a person who has claimed on three Pentecostal crusades that he has been healed of blindness; the good thing is that he has since left the movement and he can testify to any one who may be doubting.

One of the “greatest healers” ever since the formation of the Pentecostals movement was Aimee Mc Person. It saddens to find out that even her miracles were really un true. Arno Clemens who was as eye witness on one of her crusades had this to report…
"A little girl wore a pair of glasses one-half of which was entirely black. I gathered that she was totally blind in one eye and almost blind in the other. I sat upon the stage very close to the whole procedure. While prayer was being made for her, the little girl, who appeared to be about 11 years of age, wept and sobbed and writhed in her eagerness to secure the help that she had been led to expect. She left the platform and public claim was made by one of the workers that she had been healed, and the little girl verified the claim by a nod of the head given in reply to the question of the workers. An hour later, when the meeting was out, I noticed a small cluster of women near the platform. I thought I saw the blind little girl in their midst, so I asked my wife to go over and investigate and talk to her if necessary. She found the erstwhile 'cured' girl flat on her face on the floor, sobbing, with shattered hopes and a breaking heart. Her disappointment was complete, and so was her disillusionment. The improved sight that she seemed to have had in the midst of the excitement on the platform had disappeared, and with it the hope of the little girl

The September 1992 issue of the Evangelical Times contained the following information about Morris Cerullo healing crusades:
"Miss Audrey Reynolds attended a Morris Cerullo healing crusade in London and believed she was healed of a brain abnormality. She stopped taking her medicine and, as a result, suffered a fatal brain seizure. Sir Montague Levine, the Southwark Coroner, told the inquest, 'It was a tragedy that she went to this meeting and thought she was cured of everything. Sadly, it led to her death.'

This proves that, though some psychosomatic, hypnotic, and satanic miracles have been witnessed in Pentecostal churches. It is with no doubt that most of the so claimed miracles in those churches really never happen or even faked, I do believe that those people who go around churches deceiving others that God healed them or as they went to heaven or any other trickery to deceive others will one day get their punishment in full.

Do Pentecostals really perform miracles?

A miracle is some thing which happens out of the ordinary, or outside the natural laws. I believe that God can make miracles, for surely He has performed a lot of miracles in my life. I have also read that He divided the waters of the red sea, He made water to come out of a rock, He turned a rod into a snake, He let the prisons loose, He walked on the water and He made the sun stand still. I also believe that Satan has the powers to perform counterfeit miracles to a certain degree. Since Pentecostal “miracles” do not confirm to the biblical standards, then they must be from a different deity who however has limited miracle powers.

As I mentioned the beginning of this chapter, there are different kinds of healing in the world today; psychosomatic healing, direct Satanism, and hypnosis are some of the ways which can be used to heal. You should remember that there is a big difference between healing and a miracle. Pastors who use such methods can mainly heal but most of their miracles are counterfeits and never true. However, they also have a limit on the healings they perform. Do not be fooled, those men can not cure incurable diseases, they just claim but none is real.

A miracle is an occurrence which natural laws can not explain (for example working on water). However, some people today brand any thing including being healed from malaria as a miracle, that can be explained scientifically and thus it cant qualify for a miracle. Many Pentecostals give testimonies like getting a visa, buying a TV, healing fom an incurable disease and so on, such contrasted with the miracles of Jesus like resurrecting Lazarus, walking on water, ordering the storm and turning water into wine produced two parallel groups.

It is unfortunate that Pentecostals have been made to believe that natural things can be called miracles. I watched a young woman on TV telling people that God had performed a miracle in her life because she had bought a new dress. God helping us to acquire some thing does not mean performing miracle for us.

I however can not deny the words of the savior who said that “… false Christ’s and false prophets will rise, and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect …”. Mark 24:24-25. The men Jesus talked about are those who work and perform counterfeit miracle in his name yet they are Satanists. There fore I strongly believe that limited miracles can be performed by Satan but not as much as it is claimed.

Christ even told the disciples that many will say to him (on judgment day) that they performed many miracles in his name, cast out demons and preached on the streets but He will reply ‘I never knew you’ (Mathew 7:22-23). Jesus looking down through the years saw that Satan would attack the people of God in various ways, but using counterfeit miracles as a major tool.

A young woman told me that, the reason she joined the Pentecostal movement is because the pastor told her all her problems before she told them to him. She had forgotten that many witchdoctors can also do the same. There is a Satan influenced girl in the Bible (Acts 16:16-18) who could do just the same thing. There are many pastors in my country who have adopted this act of telling people about their past and expected future, this is however a very old satanic act long employed by soothsayers. Many satanic people use this method of telling people about their past and it has suddenly expanded into the Pentecostal circles.

Even in the world today, different magicians make a lot of things which are surprising, they seem to create big things out of seemingly small things and yet no one can come out to say that they perform miracles from God. The voodoo priests can send a person to death (in a fake way) and later bring him to life (using mind techniques and hypnosis), In fact every one knows that these people are satanic, therefore, performing a miracle whether genuine or fake does not make a person God sent.
